Kickstarter expects to fund more arts projects than the National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) this year. Not sure the comparison is entirely fair, though Kickstarter is projecting fuel of $150 million this year, which edges out the NEA’s $146 million budget.

Alex Rigopulos, CEO of Harmonix Music Systems, the company that develops the Rock Band video game, backs Rock Vibe on Kickstarter. If Rock Vibe reaches its funding goal of $32,000 by January 20, 2012, the game will be fully developed and donated to organizations that work with blind children.
