Renew Our Rivers Holt Lake Clean Up
August 11, 2012
8am – Noon
On August 11th, bring your boat and enthusiasm and join us for the 8th Annual Holt Lake Cleanup hosted by the partners of the Black Warrior Clean Water Partnership. Registration begins at 8am at Rocky Branch Park in Peterson (just of off Alabama Highway 216). The clean up will be followed by a hot dog lunch served beginning at 11:30am. Some equipment will be provided. However, boats and related equipment useful for the clean up would be greatly appreciated.
Holt Lake, part of the Black Warrior River System, provides valuable water resources and helps ensure a safe, beautiful, recreational environment for the surrounding communities. The Holt Lake Cleanup will utilize the efforts of Alabama Power Company’s Renew Our Rivers program, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and many local agencies, community groups and businesses for the cleanup day.
Please note: RockyBranchPark is a family friendly and alcohol free facility.
